Important Formulas of Weaving Calculation in Textile

Weaving Calculation & Useful Formulas:
Weaving calculation is too much important to know for a textile engineer or textile related person related person to run a weaving factory perfectly. In the past, I have presented different calculation article on the different parts of weaving such as winding calculationwarping calculationsizing calculation andloom production calculation. This article has presented all the formulas or laws needed to complete the mathematical problems of weaving sector.

Winding Calculation Formula in Weaving:

1. Required time,
= Quantity of yarn in lb to be wound / Number of drum / actual production in lbs per hour

Or,
= Amount of yarns in lbs × count of yarn / No. of drum / actual production in hank

Or,
= Amount of yarn in hank / No. of drums / actual production in hank

2. Actual production in pounds,
= Calculated hank /  Yarn count  × efficiency%

3. Actual production per hour in pound,
= Actual production in hank / Yarn count

4. Actual production in hank,
= Calculated yards / 80 / Efficiency%

5. Calculation production per hour in yards,
= ∏× diameter × speed in RPM

Warping Calculation Formula in Weaving:

1. Required time in hour,
= Length of warp to be produced in yards / Actual production per hour in yards

2. Beam count or count of warp,
= Length of yarn in yards on the beam / 840 / weight in lbs
Or,
= No. of ends × length of warp in yards / 840 / weight in lbs

3. No. of ends in the warp,
= Yarn count× weight in lbs / Warp length in hanks

Or,
= Yarn count × weight in lbs × 840 / Length of warp in yds

4. Length of warp,
= Weight of warp in lbs× yarn count × 840 / No. of ends …………………..... (Yds)

Or,
=  Weight in lbs / No. of ends

Or,
Weight of warp in lb× count of yarn / No. of ends ……………. (Hank)

5. Weight of warp in lbs,
Warp length in yds× no. of ends / Yarn count / 840

Or,
= Number of ends × length of warp in yds / Count of yarn

6. Total length of yarn in the warp,
= Number of ends× length of warp / 840

Sizing Calculation Formula in Weaving:
1. Total wt of size on warp,
= Wt of sized warp – wt of unsized warp

2. Total length of sized yarn,
= Total warp length × No. of ends

3. Weight of sized warp in lbs,
Length of warp in yds. × Number of ends / Count / 840

4. Weight (wt) of size to be put on warp,
= Size% required to be put on warp × Wt of unsized warp,

5. Count of sized yarn,
Warp length in yds × number of ends / Wt of sized warp in lbs / 840

6. Count of sized yarn,
   Count of unsized yarn × 100 / Size% + 100

7. Sizing efficiency,
= {Actual production/Calculated production) × 100%}

8. Size% on warp,
          Wt of size
……………………………. × 100%
  Wt of unsized warp

9. Weight of unsized warp in lbs,
Warp length in yards × No. of ends / Yarn count / 840

=========================================================================
Loom Production Calculation Formula in Weaving:
1. Loom production per hour in meter,
    No. of loom × PPM × Time × Efficiency / PPI / 39.37 / 100

2. Fabric weight,
= (warp weight+ weft weight)
